We are Kennel Club Accredited breeders & abide by the code of ethics laid out by the Kennel Club & the Golden Retriever Club of Great Britain. We only breed 1 litter a year. We participate in the KC/BVA (Kennel Club/ British Veterinary Association) health screening tests that are relevant for the breed. All of our breeding stock hold below average hip & elbow scores (breed average in 2006 for hips is 19) they also hold current clear eye certificates. All of our puppies are wormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age & also treated with Frontline anti-flea spray.

 Our Puppies

All of our puppies are born & raised in our home. They are well socialised, not only with general household noises but also with our children & our other dogs. The puppies are Kennel Club registered and come with a 5 generation pedigree. We endorse all of our puppies' Kennel Club registrations with 'R' (progeny not eligible for registration) & 'X' (not for issue of export certificate). Our puppies are sold as family pets and not for breeding purposes. We do not lift these endorsements under any circumstances and each puppy owner is required to sign a document verifying that they fully understand the implications of these endorsements.  

Each puppy leaves Modbury having been 'micro-chipped' & with a very comprehensive Puppy Pack which we have compiled to provide owners with as much information as possible regarding the health & well being of the new puppy. They also have 6 weeks free insurance from Pet Plan, registration with Petback, a sample of the food which they have been weaned onto and money off vouchers for more food.

Puppy Enquiries: As a small kennel, we have relatively few litters so it is not often we have puppies available. If you would like to know more about us and our dogs or have any questions about Golden Retrievers, then please e-mail us and we will reply to you as soon as possible bearing in mind we receive a large number of enquiries. We do not reply to anonymous or unsigned emails and remember to check you have given us a valid e-mail address to reply to.
